KODKA's Pioneering Photographers

Annotation 2019-11-03 185121.png

KODAK is a film camera company within a world where the digital imaging is the norm. They have successfully created a series of products that work symbiotically with digital photography to create easy to use photo

editing software, instant printing equipment and place modern digital interfaces onto traditional film systems.

There is a huge market currently for instant print polaroid cameras and for photobooks, where people can compile their images as a well edited collection.[1] For this experience Victorian styled women would walk about London with their Victorian cameras taking pictures and asking members of the public if they would like to be photographed.

Members of the public will also have the opportunity to take photographs with these cameras of their friends, family and the cityscape. This event will be unbranded except for a subtle logo placed upon these cameras.

The Victorian style cameras will have the option of instant printing incorporated into them so that members of the public can have their photos immediately.   Those that receive an instant photo will also receive a vintage ticket with one of several addresses on it that they can choose to visit. If they visit this location they will find a pop-up Kodak store where they will be able to have their photo (which will also have been saved digitally) printed in a different size or printed onto a phone or camera case.

There will also be Kodak products there for them to purchase if they choose and they will receive a discount on all Kodak products for that day using the code on their ticket.

Everyone who visits with a ticket will recieve a free disposable camera and will be able to have their photos printed for free by Kodak. There will be an exhibition of some of these photos at a later date.

I’m taking photographs with my camera. Please keep still, don’t move. If you move you’ll blur the image and we wouldn’t want that. Let me lower the tripod now. Yes, that’s better. Keep still. Keep absolutely still.
