Waterstone's Lost Characters
What would happen if characters dissapeared from well know stories?
What would happen to the books?

Waterstone’s has lost twenty well known characters and literature as we know it is under threat. They have fallen out of their books and are wondering somewhere in London.
Waterstone’s is Tweeting, they have done press releases and they have put up missing posters. These books have lost their purpose, the left behind characters wonder aimlessly about the pages and plots are unravelled.

Around central London the lost characters start appearing.
Alice has fallen out of Alice in Wonderland. She is wondering around central London which is almost as strange to her as Wonderland. She is lost in an unfamiliar landscape and asking people about the strange world she has found herself in.

Dialogue Sample Alice:
I don’t suppose you’ve seen a white rabbit? I was following his you see and I fell down a rabbit hole and I ended up in an incredible strange place. I was at a tea part with the maddest of creatures that I have ever met, they kept pouring me tea but I never seemed to actually get any. I have spent the whole day growing and shrinking through eating and drinking. Anyway, I was still slightly on the shorter side of the height I was so supposed to be and I found a slice of cake which said ‘eat me.’ I thought I’ll give this a go and see if it helps and so I did and I am the right size now but then suddenly I was falling all over again but it wasn’t like the rabbit hole, it was quite different. And now I find myself here which is curiously different to Wonderland and to my home. I don’t know how I got here and I have no idea what here is though. It is quite unlike where I came from. You seem quite nice and ordinary. I’ve met the strangest of people. There was a caterpillar who said the most confusing riddles and I met a duchess who had a very noisy baby and it turned into a pig! You should be careful Madam incase the same thing happens to yours. It’s rather unexpected when it happens. I wish Dinah was here, she’s my cat and she would know what to do. Oh, excuse me Sir, have you seen the white rabbit?
